I just don’t want to be like my mom. In a sense that i’m stuck unhappy with a man i wish i didn’t settle for. Just knowing he’s just filled with broken promises and lies. I wanna be lifted up, not dragged down by my significant other, that’s not how it works.

It happens to everyone as they grow up. You find out who you are and what you want, and then you realize that people you’ve known forever don’t see things the way you do. So you keep the wonderful memories, but find yourself moving on.
